Early spring in Ajloon

زي أي بنت وشب أردني انولد وتربى بعمٓان، وعيلته برجع أصلها للبادية الأردنية أو لمدينة أو قرية أردنية تانية برا عمان .. أصل عيلتنا برجع للمدينة الجبلية بشمال الأردن .. مدينة عجلون.

سواء زرتها أولأ أكيد بتعرفها .. بس يمكن بدون ما تحس انت من الناس اللي بيحكو اسمها غلط .. وهدا البوست كتبته لحتى أوضح طريقة لفظها الصح.

إذا كنت بتحكي عجلون والواو زي ما بكلمة أفلاطون مثلاً، هيك بتكون حكيتها غلط
والصح إنه اسمها عجلون ، والواو زي ما بكلمة زيتون ..
هية بهالبساطة بس الأولى خطأ والتانية صح.

Like many Jordanian guys and girls born and raised in Amman, our families’ origins go back to the Badiya or any other Jordanian town or village outside Amman. For my family, our origins go back to the northern mountainous town of Ajloon.

Weather you’ve visited it or not, probably you know it. However, you might be one of those people who are unaware that they pronounce its name in a wrong way. Well, don’t worry, here I’ll explain to you the right way to pronounce it:

If you say (Ajloun) and it sounds like (Aj-lone) then you’re saying it wrong
And the right way to pronounce it is (Ajloon), the latter part should sound like the word (moon)..
